There are many ways volunteers can help maintain our Wetland Park. We need people who are willing to walk the trails regularly to remove sticks and fallen branches as well as clip overhead branches that may be hitting walkers in the face. Monthly weed-whipping of the block-long grassy path along the highway is very important, as is monthly raking and weed-whipping of the two picnic areas. Regular watering of the native plants beneath the Park sign is needed when we have a shortage of rainfall, and occasional sweeping of the Memory Walk keeps it looking nice. There are other tasks that are needed from time to time, and it is our volunteers who keep the Park in fine shape year-round.
